Rafting on the Neretva
RAFTING ON THE NERETVA RIVER

receive safety equipment and briefing

About the Neretva River:
At 230km in length, the Neretva is the longest river in the
Eastern Adriatic Basin. Although mostly located in Bosnia
and Herzegovina, the final 22km cross the border to the
Croatian town of Metković, and it is here that data from the
river is monitored.
The Neretva passes through 10 cities and 4 hydroelectric
dams on its course, and is home to a diverse range of
ecosystems and habitats, housing many endangered species of
river fish. Animal and plant life are well supported here,
and the river, as well as being exceptionally beautiful, is
known for its clean, cold drinking water in rural areas.
